The company was founded in 1982 working with the National Cancer Institute, which led to its expansion to working with industry sponsors developing cancer therapeutics. As a service-based company we support both domestic and international sponsors in the conduct of both early and late phase trials.

As part of Theradex Oncology, you will have the opportunity to work with one of the largest professional teams focused solely on the development of cancer therapies. Cancer research continues to evolve as new therapies and therapeutic approaches are discovered, as part of the team you will work to support our sponsors in the development of these therapies. We're looking for a highly motivated Cloud and Network Engineer responsible for migrating critical systems from on-prem to the cloud. This role will deploy modern cloud technologies, strengthen cloud security, and help build a secure, scalable, and high performing cloud environment. The Cloud and Network Engineer will oversee the operation, maintenance, security, and procedures of the organization's global computer and network systems (Cloud based and on-prem), collaborating with the EU Information Systems Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain secure and scalable AWS cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Manage AWS network components including VPCs, subnets, transit gateways, load balancers, and VPNs.
  • Implement and maintain robust network security controls such as security groups, firewalls, WAFs, and intrusion prevention systems.
  • Oversee hybrid cloud connectivity between AWS and on-premises environments.
  • Monitor cloud and network performance, proactively resolving issues to ensure availability and capacity.
  • Document infrastructure and processes thoroughly to maintain clarity and continuity.
  • Provide technical support to end users, troubleshooting and resolving technical problems efficiently.
  • Analyze user requirements to enhance current systems’ capabilities.
  • Communicate regularly with management regarding IT activities and strategy.
  • Establish and enforce procedures to ensure hardware and software security, availability, and stability.
  • Support the operation of information systems in the US, including servers, workstations, firewalls, VPNs, and telecommunications.
  • Participate actively in the design, build, and maintenance of global infrastructure.
  • Provide 24x7 system and network support, including on-call duty every third week.
  • Develop and maintain network architecture design and roadmap, evaluating new technologies aligned with business goals.
  • Manage network systems administration, user rights, licenses, vendor relations, and compliance.
  • Oversee hardware and software procurement and vendor negotiations.
  • Manage domain functions, server infrastructure, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
  • Ensure infrastructure security with antivirus, antispam, firewall, and patch management.

What You Need

Education and Experience 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred or equivalent work experience and certifications in lieu of degree
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in cloud-based server and network system administration and management required
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner Required
  • AWS Certified Advanced Networking preferred

 

​Additional Requirements

  • Must be willing to come on-site to Princeton office as needed
  • Willing to work outside of standard business hours and weekends (when required).

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $120,000 - $150,000. The actual salary offer will be based on a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and competencies for the role.
